About Our Shelter:

Cat Haven Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was established in 1999 to rescue and place cats and kittens in loving homes. In just a few years, we have rescued and found homes for almost 5,000 cats. We make it possible for area residents to find the perfect cat or kitten by hosting adoption events every Saturday in the Baton Rouge area. All cats adopted through Cat Haven have been spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, and have received age-appropriate vaccinations

PetSmart SIegen: 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 10-4.
PetSmart Airline: 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 10-4.
We also have adoptable cats daily at PetSmart Airline and Siegen.

Application process 90.00 adoption fee. Covers all vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
