The only shelter for Frederick County, Maryland, we take in unwanted animals and strays with hopes of reuniting animals with owners or placing them in homes or with rescue groups.

Our Adoption Process:

All dogs and cats are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered prior to adoption. We also have other animals for adoption.

Come in to our shelter. Meet the pet of your dreams or fill out a wish list request. Our application includes the usual pet history and we screen for no-pets landlords. We can help you introduce one of our dogs to your current dog and an adoption interview will provide you with information about caring for your new pet.

Adoption fees vary for cats, dogs and exotic pets and are listed on each profile.
