The mission of the Muscatine Humane Society is to educate the public of the importance and dire necessity to spay and neuter their animals to prevent the needless suffering that follows pet overpopulation. Concurrently, the society provides a safe haven for lost or abandoned animals until thier owners or new homes can be obtained. We serve 2000 homeless pets annually.

Dogs are $80 if previously altered and if our vet does the surgery, then females are $150 and males are $135. Cats are $65 either way but all summer long adult cats are $32.50 and kittens can be adopted 2 for 1. We do require a pre-adoption application and we do have an adoption contract also.
