Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We are a small organization that just got started in April 2011. I am set up in my own back yard with a seperate area for my rescues with fencing and building. I am in New Orleans, LA area and I have rescued most of my dogs from a gas chamber kill shelter in Abbeville, LA

About Our Shelter:

Puppy Power Rescue at this point is myself! My name is Michelle and I LOVE dogs and will try to save as many as possible in my lifetime... I believe they are humans best friends and I don't think they get enough love from the human race. I am a no kill shelter because I believe that the dogs did not ask to be brought into this world and they should not lose their lives because a human was irresponsible.

Come Meet our Pets:

My rescue dogs are available all evenings after 5pm and on weekends. All by appointment. I have a nice area fenced if you would like to bring your family including but not limited to your pets to see how they play with a dog at the rescue you are more than welcome!! I am working on setting up adoption events with PetSmart but don't have any dates at this time.

Our Adoption Process:

My fees range from $125-$200 depending on the cost of services to the dog. You will need to send a completed application to Puppy Power Rescue for approval.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
