Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We are unable to take in dogs at this time as as we are at full capacity, but will be open again for rescues later this year. Please check back. Thank you.

About Our Rescue Group:

We agreed to foster a puppy awhile back and as we fell in love with the kid (we kept him) and met other Pitbulls and their owners, we realized this was a true calling. We are thoroughly dedicated to promoting the Pitbull as a breed, by helping to place these terribly misunderstood dogs into good homes.

Come Meet our Pets:

We participate in local adoption events and are willing to set home meetings with accepted Applications.

Our Adoption Process:

As a Pitbull-only rescue, it is especially important that we know as much as we can about a potential adopter as before they meet a dog. Its equally important that they know the breed and understand the special needs and understanding required for Pitbull owners. We have a thorough Adoption Application, no fee is required to fill one out. It is designed to make absolutely sure that a potential owner has a home that will safe for their Pitbull and a lifestyle that will help them to flourish. With an accepted Application, we set up a meeting so that our AnnRo dog can meet the potential adopter and also to introduce them to any additional dogs or cats the adopter might have. The final step is a Home Check. We do not leave a dog until we are absolutely sure that the home is safe and secure. Our dogs are all inside dogs and must live inside the house with their humans. Fences must be 6ft high if a dog is to allowed any access to an outdoor yard. With an accepted Application, a successful Meet-up and Home Check, we start a two week trial period, so that both dog and new owner can get settled and make sure its a fit. If a new owner has any second thoughts or concerns we are available to help or to take the dog back if necessary. This is a guarantee for life! We will always be there for support and willing to take a dog back into our rescue. We don't want any of our dogs EVER end up in shelters again. If after two weeks all parties are feeling good and happy, we have the new owner fill out an Adoption Agreement and transfer ownership officially!

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
