Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

Located in the Houston area, we serve the area that is north of Houston to Dallas, focusing on the area from The Woodlands to Huntsville.

About Our Rescue Group:

The FSLS Rescue Ranch is primarily a special needs sanctuary for animals who are here to recover, hospice or spend the rest of their lives in a protected, specialized environment. Occasionally, we rescue animals who are not injured or who have recovered and can be adopted out.

The process of adopting these animals is a little more sensitive than normal since we want to ensure they will be extra safe and that their medications, braces, etc. will be used properly and maintained. We do this because not many else do--these animals would be euthanized because of injuries or illnesses that their owners cannot afford or don't want to deal with.

These animals have so much life and love in them, we believe that they should have a second chance to know love again.

Come Meet our Pets:

Very infrequently. Usually one on one meetings/private adoptions.

Our Adoption Process:

If you are interested in adopting one of our puppies/dogs, we require an application first, which should include information about your home, fenced yard required; the people and animals in your home as well as the hours that the animal/s will be left alone.

Our animals are not kept in boarding kennels and are used to a home environment. A vet and two personal references are required and will be contacted to make sure that you have been responsible and loving pet owners.

All animals are introduced to the family and pets and a home visit is required. Adopters are then given time to get ready for the animal coming into their home if the home visit went well. An adoption fee of $75 is due at adoption.

All animals are always welcome back for life if the adoption does not work out.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
