Our adoption fee is $100.00 for adult animals (over 6 months of age) ,This fee includes spay or neuter of the animal.Dogs are heartworm tested, vaccinated with DA2pp Rabies,Kennel cough,are dewormed and HW prevention given (if Negative).Cats will be tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, vaccinated with FVR-CP ,Rabies, and dewormed. ALL animals under 6 months are $150. The Spay or Neuter must be done by a Veterinarian that does pediatrics, and cost more.

The Chattahoochee humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the care of homeless and abused animals in our area.
We serve all of Chambers County and all municipalities within Chambers County.We operate on local government contracts and donations.
We are a small shelter with 46 dog runs and 24 cat cages.We received over 2000 animals in 2010.We have 3 full time employees .

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
