Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:
We serve all the Central Florida areas: i.e. Orange, Forest City, Maitland, Ocoee, Winter Garden.About Our Rescue Group:
We are a small veterans nonprofit our mission is to help those in need including animals.Because so many homeless veterans have pets we saw the need to help thier pets receive proper nutrition and vet care hence Vets-Pets & Kids. We have joined the fight against overpopultion via Educating the public & homeless about the benefits of neutering pets. We now work with trappers to rescue the kittens of ferral colonies. We trap the adults "TNR" if they are friendlies we then give all needed vet care and neuter, once healthy all cats & kittens are put up for adoption. The dogs and puppies we rescue are socialized and begin basic training. (Our kittens are also harness and leash trained hey the students love it. Nothing like sitting for a discussion with a kitten in your lap.) If adopter lives close enough I offer continued training for the pups & dogs for donations to help other animals in need.As a veterinary assisting instructor it has always been my heart felt desire to educate the young to be responsible pet owners. Each year I have the honor of sharing my knowledge and expertise on the welfare of animals to teenagers and adults. It is because of my love of animals and desire to provide companions to those in need that allows me to work long hours and spend many a sleepless night to help heal the sick and injuried. The reward is seeing a child's eyes light or the warm smile of a senior when they hold or pet their new furry friend.
We are in need of donations towards spay & neuter cost. Desparate need for foster homes we have many kittens under going medical treatments. We are able to test all cats and dogs for Feluk/FIV, Heartworms, fecal exams and give their deworming, FVRCP , Bordetella, DHLPP-C all of which is costly. We are partnered with vet assisting students so it is a win-win situation the kids learn and the animals are well cared for. Our vets do the exams, spay /neuter and rabies vaccines or any other type of vet care. The students and I do the rest.
