Additional adoption info
We believe in finding loving, long term, furever homes for our pets we rescue. We do not require a large adoption fee. To adopt, we ask that you fill out the adoption application paperwork.
We then check personal and vet references.
We REQUIRE a home check.
If the potential adopter has other pets, we will set up a meeting of the pets to see if they get along.
If the application checks out, everything works out between the family and the pet, and we feel it is a great fit, we will have the potential adopter fill out the adoption contract.
Adoption fees will vary depending on how much vetting was required for the health of the dog, but not the full amount.
Our pets will be up to date on shots and will also be spayed/neutered upon adoption.
We also offer a 2 week "foster to adopt" to see how the pet fits in with your family.

About Forever Socks Animal Rescue
Socks was killed at the Ft. Worth shelter 10/20/11 even though Tori Clark was going to take her, get her some help and a furever home. The shelter would NOT release her to rescue. One employee was telling the rescues that were calling to tag her for the person that wanted her, that Socks was a "bad dog" and they wouldn't want her. Tori wanted to help her. Tori had a trainer for her. Tori wanted to give her a furever home. The employee at Ft Worth wouldn't allow Socks to have that. The employee made the decision that Socks couldn't have a second chance at a good life, and she had her put down 2 HOURS before Tori got there.This person wanted her.
Forever Socks Animal Rescue was created in memory of Socks. RIP Socks. You will always be remembered!!
We are 100% all about the animals and finding them the great furever home.
