Hello, I am the Animal Care Officer for the beautiful City of Alamo Heights which is located near downtown San Antonio, Texas. We rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home stray and abandoned dogs and cats in our city. Many of our dogs came to us abused and neglected but we believe everyone deserves a second chance.
Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Come Meet our Pets:
Since we are a small operation it helps us if you call before coming in. All of our dogs are available for adoption/viewing at the: Alamo Heights Kennel Club 203 W Sunset San Antonio, TX 78209 210-822-0003 firstname.lastname@example.org Facebook.com/alamoheightsanimalcareservices
Our Adoption Process:
If one of our dogs has caught your eye we invite you to come and meet them in person. Since we are a relatively small rescue operation it is best if you give us a call before coming in so we can make sure that there is enough staff to make your introduction as seamless as possible. We suggest bringing in all family members who would be living with the pet including any other dogs, we think it is important that everyone is a part of this decision. If everyone is on board then you can fill out an adoption application and if all goes well you can take your new best friend home the same day. If for any reason the adoption is not working out you can bring the dog back within the first 7 days and get your full adoption fee refunded. All of our dogs will be fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped before they go home.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and you'll
have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting
a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats
for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs
and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of
dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed
is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten
breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat
or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt
a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane
society or pet rescue group.
