About Our Rescue Group

We are an all volunteer group, concerned about the welfare of the animals in our community. We lovingly rescue, rehabilitate and rehome these special pets. They stay in our homes until the right person or family comes along.

Come Meet our Pets

We do not have a facility, we have foster homes. We go to PetSmart or Petco in Spartanburg on the first and third Saturday of every month and other special event locations (please email to verify dates). We also try to be at local community events where pets are allowed.

Our Adoption Process

All of our pets will be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations. They will also be microchipped. Critter Connection requires an application, vet references and home visit for all adoptions. We also require an adoption fee ($70 for cats and $85 for most dogs) and an item from our wish list to help offset some of our expenses.

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
