Central Florida, with fosters located primarily in the Ocala area

About Our Rescue Group:

Loving Life Canine Rescue is a small rescue dedicated to rescuing and rehoming at-risk dogs. Until they are permanently rehomed, they are fostered in the homes of our volunteers. There they are considered members of the family, loved and cared for until they are ready for their forever homes.

Come Meet our Pets:

Our dogs live as family members in the homes of our fosters. We do not hold adoption events but instead interview individual applicants. If a match seems appropriate, meets are set up at that time.

Our Adoption Process:

If you are considering adopting one of our dogs, please e-mail us and share a bit about yourself. We do not have an adoption application but instead rely upon an interview process. At a minimum, please share such things as where you live, household composition, yard setup and/or exercise plan, pets you have and/or had, work schedule and amount of time the dog would be alone, what contingency plans you have in place should you no longer be able to care for your dog, if you rent do you have landlord approval, what you are looking for in a dog, etc. The more information the merrier. And there are no "right" answers. Honest! Please include a phone number at which you may be reached.

Our Adopted Pets:

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
