Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We rescue animals from local animal shelters that become full, and we also accept owner surrendered pets. We are not animal control and we can not accept stray animals. Strays must be surrendered to your local animal control facility so an owner may find the pet if it is lost. We adopt out to potential adopters willing to travel to Muncie, IN to adopt their new best friend. We do not ship animals, so please make sure you are within driving distance of IN.

About Our Rescue Group:

We are a home based rescue. We do this because we truly believe that each animal sitting at a shelter waiting to be adopted deserves a home, and shouldn't be put to sleep simply because they have run out of time or space. We know that animal control facilities try hard not to euthanize, but tough decisions have to be made when they have no more open spaces. That is where we come in. We pull adoptable animals so they do not have to be put down. We Also focus on mothers and their litters because puppies can easily get sick in a shelter setting. Once in our home, we work on things like housebreaking and proper manners to help to better adjust into a home.

Come Meet our Pets:

Please email to set up a meet and greet time with one of our adoptable pets!

Our Adoption Process:

If you find an animal you would like to meet, please email DaisyMaePetRescue@Gmail.com . We will send you an adoption application. We will check a vet reference on your current or past pets. If you rent, please be sure to attach a copy of your lease with pet approval or list your landlord's information so we can get verbal confirmation pets are allowed. Once your application is approved, we will set a time for your family and any currents pets to come meet the adoptable animal, and then if the meet and greet goes well, you can take your newly adopted pet with you, or schedule a time to come back and pick him up! Our adoption fees vary by what medical work we have had to do. The lowest adoption fee to expect would be $45, and the highest adoption fee we charge would be $225. Some animals come in fully vetted to our rescue, so we just require a $45 donation to the rescue. Some animals we have to treat for illness and injury prior to having them fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, and spayed/neutered and their adoption fee would be higher.

Our Adopted Pets:

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.

Humane America Animal Foundation, dba Adopt-a-Pet.com, is a non-profit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) adoption advertising charity. Our mission (and passion) is to help get homeless pets out of the shelters and into loving homes. Let us know what you think! Suggestion & Comment Box
