About Our Rescue Group:Angel Haven Ranch & Rescue is dedicated to saving horses bound for slaughter for human consumption. We also assist in cases of horse abuse, neglect and abandonment. We work to encourage owner responsibilty and humane treatment and care of all equines and other animals.
Angel Haven Ranch & Rescue's mission is to save as many unfortunate victims of the horse world as we humanly can. In some instances we have to purchase the horses to remove them from harms' way. To that end, we provide care for abused, abandoned, neglected, aged and unwanted horses or those horses that can no longer be cared for by their owners for whatever reason. We accept them in any condition and do everything in our power to provide needed care and veterinary services. Each horse placed into our care will have our full effort to ensure that it will never end up in a slaughter house or in a auction ring. We promise we are dedicated to providing only qualified homes with dedicated families for any horse in need.
Our goal is to make decisions that will help make the future for horses better than their past experiences. We want to be a hub of education in humane horse care and training methods, alternative therapies, horse rehabilitation and rescue. The only way to stop the suffering is to teach people better ways of caring for their horses. It is our goal to prevent this from occurring. Our organization's desire is to be a place for horses to become healthy and move on to have happy, productive lives and permanent loving homes. Angel Haven Ranch & Rescue provides community resources through equine education, counseling, information and referral services.
Angel Haven Ranch & Rescue is also working towards having a full Equine Therapy program for children of all ages with all disabilities & illnesses (very similar to The Painted Turtle), various organizations such as the Girl Scouts, helping them earn their horse badge, as well as 4H Clubs, Indian Guides & Princesses, local disaster teams, Kiwanis organizations, Farm Bureau, preschoolers and many more groups and community affiliations. Also working on getting a equine therapy program started for Vetrans of war and others who desperately need the help of our wonderful horses.
