About Our Rescue Group:

In a world that seems to be inundated with fear, abandonment, anger and frustration we decided to do our part to make a difference. There is nothing more comforting or heartwarming than to come home after a long day full of stress and discouragement to a four-legged bundle of energy jumping up and down because they missed you so much or a furball doing figure eights around your legs because you are finally home. The unconditional love and affection that comes from a pet is the best cure for a demanding and wearisome day that life has to offer. And yet these poor, defenseless animals are often neglected, abused and abandoned by ungrateful and selfish people. Then they are taken to shelters that are overcrowded and understaffed to be euthanized.

Our love and compassion for these pets combined with our many years experience working with animals moved us to form Soul Survivors Animal Rescue, Inc. to rescue these defenseless pets that want nothing more than to make a human happy and be loved. With education and knowledge comes power. We want to make every effort possible to be the voice these pets do not have; to educate everyone we can on responsible pet ownership and to encourage others to speak up when abuse and neglect to these animals is occurring in our community. We can't do it alone and we need the public's help.

Please help us get the word out to stop the daily abuse that these animals are suffering. Educate yourself before getting a pet and please, please, please adopt. There are so many out there that need to be loved and cared for after suffering awful abuse and there are too many puppy mills out there contributing to this abuse. If you need to surrender a pet for any reason, please call a local rescue, shelter or your ASPCA or Humane Society for guidance.

Our Adoption Process:

Our adoption process is as follows:

If you see a pet on our site or at one of our adoption pets that you would like to adopt, you will first be asked to fill out an adoption application. As part of the application, you will be asked to consent to a background check and a home visit inspection. Upon passing both, we will bring the pet to your home at which time we will observe the pet in its new surroundings. As long as both you and the pet seem comfortable, you will be asked to sign a formal contract and pay the agreed upon adoption fee. Two (2) weeks after the adoption has taken place, another home visit will occur to make sure the placement is a perfect fit for both you and your new pet.
