We have an application, and an adoption agreement. We hold adoption events every two weeks. Dogs do not go home from adoption events without prior submission of application which requires approval. Adoption fees are usually $250.00, less for senior dogs in need of good homes.

About Penny Lane Dog Adoption & Senior Sanctuary
Penny Lane Dog Adoption & Senior Sanctuary is made up of an experienced group of rescue volunteers fostering and placing homeless dogs and providing sanctuary foster homes to older or special needs dogs. We spay/neuter, vaccinate, and provide other urgent medical care to all dogs before placement. In addition to adoptions Penny Lane Dog Adoption & Senior Sanctuary provides sanctuary care for dogs who are very old, become ill, blind, or other conditions that make the odds of adoption very slim. We do not euthanize simply because a dog is old. We also provide comfortable compassionate end of life care when needed. We do not have a facility. Dogs are in foster homes. The more foster homes we have, the more dogs we can help.

Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
