At Hurley Tailz our Mission is simple. To rescue Miniature Pinschers who are unwanted, abandoned, neglected, mistreated or are victims of inhumane treatment find responsible, loving and lifetime homes. To educate potential owners about the Miniature Pinscher and their special requirements, to ensure an educated decision when selecting the breed. To counsel owners on solving problems to help them keep their Miniature Pinscher. To educate animal control officers and shelter staff on how to identify the Miniature Pinscher and the special requirements and characteristics of the breed to aid in proper evaluation and placement. To help find a solution for over-population by spreading the importance of spay & neuter. We. Are. Saving Lives.

About Our Rescue Group:

www.HurleyTailz.org

We are two ladies who became great friends through our dogs and share the LOVE of the Miniature Pinscher Breed. We found each other through various min pin missions that include; transports, shelter pulls, fostering and volunteering. We then decided to come together and help the high number of min pins/dogs on death row in the state of California. We wanted to make a difference. We pull or rescue, adopt out and foster min pins locally in and around Los Angeles and Orange County, California. After years of rescuing only the min pin breed Hurley Tailz decided to broadened out their rescue efforts and have now started to rescue min pin mixes and chi's needing our help! Pretty much any small breed dog on death row needs a chance to LIVE & Hurley Tailz will help if we can!
Hurley Tailz is ALWAYS in need of dedicated volunteers to help foster pupz on death row. Without foster homes we can not run our rescue successfully or SAVE the lives of the breed we LOVE so much!

Come Meet our Pets:

All of our dogs are in foster homes at various locations around Southern California. You may contact Hurley Tailz through the listed email, and they will help you learn what is needed to ADOPT. VOLUNTEER. FOSTER. Or SURRENDER. All foster homes are provided by wonderful devoted volunteers none of which get paid to be a part of Hurley Tailz. If you see a foster dog in our rescue that you are interested in meeting before applying to adopt please send us a e-mail and we will arrange a visit at a nearby public park or another public area. We understand that meeting a dog that interests you could help you decided if it is meant to be or not. Anything we can do or assist in making an adoption successful we will always try and do.
We Rescue. We Save.

Our Adoption Process:

www.HurleyTailz.org

Adopting a Friend. Adopting a rescue dog is the most important commitment humans can do for themselves and their families. It is a huge decision and one that should never be taken lightly. Understand that the dog you get from us has already lost it's home once and therefore our goal is to make this placement final and FUREVER. Pet adoption is a lifetime commitment that we take very seriously. If you are interested in adopting, we ask that you e-mail Hurley Tailz (rescue1minpin@gmail.com) and someone will contact you right away and help answer any of your questions. A Hurley Tailz Volunteer will also help you chose a pet that is right for you and your lifestyle. We know our rescue dogs the best and can answer any questions concerning them. Once you see a dog you think fits your home you will be sent an adoption application to be filled out and signed by you. The application process begins with a Vet Check, Landlord Check (if needed), Phone Interview and ends with a Home-check where you will get the chance to meet the dog of your choice during the home-visit. After the final home-check and you are approved you will be given a TWO WEEK trial. This means you will have two weeks with the dog to make sure he/she is a good match for your family. If after two weeks you believe you can not live without your new companion you will then be given all vetting information and the final step by signing the adoption contract. No matter any reason we here at Hurley Tailz will ALWAYS take back any of our dogs no matter how long they have been adopted out to you. Never do we turn our backs on our rescues. We will always be here to help them & YOU. Hurley Tailz also has a Certified Obedience & Manners Trainer on staff that will come to your home and help you with any problems that arise after you adopt your dog. We work together. We rescue together. We adopt together. We. Are. Saving Lives.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
