FurEver After Rescue is in Onondaga County in Clay, NY. I prefer to adopt out to families that are within a 2 hour drive from Clay.

About Our Rescue Group:

I have spent years fostering, volunteering and transporting rescued animals. After a few litters of puppies I rescued myself in 2010 and 2011, I decided it was time to make it official and put a name on my own rescue. My goal is to rescue dogs in need and find furever after homes for these babies. My intent is to help dispel the terrible misconceptions of the Bully breed while traveling along this path I have chosen

Come Meet our Pets:

I will be attending any adoption event there is in Syracuse, NY. Will update when specific events are happening.

Our Adoption Process:

Initially, if someone is interested in one of my rescue dogs, I will send them an adoption application form via email for them to fill out. I will check personal and veterinary references. We set up a time to meet with rescue dog. If everything goes alright and potential adopter wants to adopt dog, I will then do a home visit. My rescue dogs will be up to date on their vaccines, microchipped and spayed or neutered. I will have all medical paperwork for adopter. Adopter will read and sign my adoption contract form and will be given one contract for their own. Adoption fees run from $175 to $225, depending on medical expenses.

Our Adopted Pets:

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
