Pets at Our Rescue Group:

Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We have rescued dogs from Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, and other southern states. We use a USDA approved transport company to move these dogs to their new furr-ever homes, if needed.

About Our Rescue Group:

We are a self-funded, family run rescue for primarily black dogs. Our rescue was inspired by our beautiful black pointer (whom we rescued) Abby. Abby died unexpectedly of pneumonia and we were heartbroken. We all felt that she was so happy to be rescued by us, that she would want us to continue to find homes for other black dogs.

We concentrate on black dogs because they are usually the last dogs to be adopted. In addition to finding homes for the dogs, we do our best to educate the public about the plight of homeless dogs, and in particular, the plight of black dogs.

Come Meet our Pets:

We are located in middle TN, and are in the process of becoming a rescue partner of Petsmart. Our adoption events will be held on a regular basis at that time.

Our Adoption Process:

Potential adopters must complete an adoption application. References, including a veterinarian, will be checked. If possible, a home visit will be made. Adoption fee is $150. Transport fee is $150, payable to the transport company, if dog is going out of state. ALL dogs will be spayed/neutered before being adopted. All will be fully vetted with current vaccinations, including rabies, heartworm tested and on preventative. Any dog being adopted by someone out of the state of TN will be required to have a health certificate.

Our Adopted Pets:

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
