About Our Rescue Group:

RFHS Mission Statement: To emphasize spaying and neutering to prevent unwanted animals; to educate the community on being responsible pet owners; to increase pet adoptions; and to have financial assistance available for the helth and welfare of animals.

Come Meet our Pets:

We are a foster based Humane Society so most of our adoptions are done from the foster home. However we also attend adoption events at places like PetSmart, Petco, PetSense and Tractor Supply. Please call and ask us for a schedule so you may come see our wonderful, adoptable pets!

Our Adoption Process:

Application approval and a vet reference are required. Signed contract with all approved adoptions.

Adoption fees for males are $150, females are $175. Senior dogs (over 7 years) are $100. Puppies (under 6 months) are $200. This includes each animal being current on age appropriate vaccinations including DHPP, bordetella and rabies, dewormed for any internal parasites, being tested heartworm negative, be spayed/neutered, be micro-chipped and have been examined by a veterinarian to certify that they are healthy. Lifetime registration for the micro-chip as well as 30 days of free pet insurance is also included. In addition, each adopter will go home with a fitted collar, a bag of dog food, and an adoption kit filled with valuable information and coupons.

Cats are $75, seniors $35. They are dewormed, spayted and neutered, current on shots and FeL tested neg.

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
