Although we serve the residents within Giles County, TN, we do adopt out of county.

About Our Rescue Group:

We believe that family pets are family members who fill our lives with joy and meaning. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue group that strives to make a difference in the lives of animals within our rural community in south central Tennessee. We are focused on our Spay/Neuter Program to reduce the pet overpopulation in our county. Through education, awareness and our S/N Program for Giles County residents, we know that the result will be a huge reduction in the amount of local animals being euthanized. Rescues exist because of the overpopulation of cats and dogs. Did you know that every 13 seconds a dog is euthanized in the United States?

The Giles County Humane Association lends a voice to those animals who cannot speak for themselves. SAVE A LIFE ... ADOPT!

Come Meet our Pets:

All our adoptable pets are in foster homes. Along with local adoption events we are an agency partner with the PetSmart store in Spring Hill, TN, where our felines can be seen during store hours, and dogs during weekend events. If you are interested in meeting one of our furbabies, simply contact us, and we will work with you to schedule a meeting. Since we are an all-volunteer rescue, please be patient, as it may take up to 72 hours for a response. Thank you!

Our Adoption Process:

Who says you can't buy love? Our adoption rates say different at $90-$250 (pure-bred pets with papers are higher). Please contact us for the specific adoption fee, which covers the pet's spay or neuter, vaccinations, testing, and worming. We require interested parties to complete our adoption application with veterinarian and personal references. If approved we will work with you to schedule a meeting with the pet, and if you decide to adopt, our contract is the last step. We do not adopt to homes with intact pets.

Our Adopted Pets:

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
