About Our Rescue Group:

Maggie was our first foster dog and our inspiration. Maggie did not come to our house alone, she gave birth to 11 puppies. We adopted Maggie several months later. That has been over two years now, and we continued to foster puppies and moms. So it is in her honor that we have named this rescue after her.
Miss Maggie May's Rescue is an all volunteer rescue group based in Tucson, AZ. Founded on September 4, 2012. We provide medical care, spay/neuter and vaccinations for dogs that have found themselves deemed not adoptable in our local shelter. It could be moms to be, families, puppies, sick or injured dogs. We also take in strays and owner surrenders. We are committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and giving these dogs a safe place to get well before finding them a loving home. All our dogs are fostered in private volunteer homes.
If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, volunteering or adopting please contact us at missmaggiemay@cox.net
We are always looking for donations of food, crates, puppy pens (exercise yards) and monetary donations for our medical fund.

Our Adoption Process:

Our adoption process consists of an application and home check. If approved then an adoption contract is required. Our fees include alter, vaccinations, and microchip. The adoption fee for small breed adult dogs is $150.00, all other adult dogs it is $125.00 and for puppies under 6 months $200.00, puppies 6 months to a year $150.00. Adoption fees for puppies include full series of 3 DHPP and a Rabies vaccine. There will also be a license transfer fee of $11.00 added to the adoption fee for all dogs that have a current Pima County license.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.

Humane America Animal Foundation, dba Adopt-a-Pet.com, is a non-profit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) adoption advertising charity. Our mission (and passion) is to help get homeless pets out of the shelters and into loving homes. Let us know what you think! Suggestion & Comment Box
