Pets at Our Rescue Group:

Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We adopt cats and kittens locally in Shelby County (TN), Tipton County (TN) and in North Mississippi specifically Desoto County (MS).

In August of 2012 NBAR implemented a program to transport our adoptable dogs to homes in New England. We work in conjunction with Petfinder to find their forever homes, and then with Got Orphans Transport (http://www.gotransporters.com/) and PETS, LLC (http://www.petsllc.net/index.php) to get lots of our doggies to their happy ever after in New York, New Hampshire, New Jersey and Connecticut.

This program was established through the dedicated efforts of our board members and in conjunction with our local adoptions of cats, kittens, dogs and puppies - has helped greatly to address the problem of homeless and unwanted pets in our community.

We cannot possibly thank our wonderful adopters, (both locally and in New England) enough for opening your hearts and homes to our rescue pets!

About Our Rescue Group:

New Beginnings Animal Rescue was established in 2011 in an effort to help reduce overcrowding in the local (Tennessee and Mississippi) shelters.

Our organization also aims to promote the importance of spay/neuter to the public. We are a non-profit group whose sole source of funding is donations from the public. We are all volunteers who foster animals in our homes and are always in need of more volunteers. There are so many abandoned, abused, discarded pets that need our help, and there is never enough space or money to help them all.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
