About Our Rescue Group:

Melissa Bacelar and husband Jeff Spinner moved to Los Angeles in 2003 with their two cocker
spaniels, Stan Lee and Clarence. Upon arrival, they learned about ‘Kill Shelters’, and vowed to
make a difference for adoptable dogs. Together they created the Poopie Foundation, an
organization that will change the way people look at their pets through education, while
providing a sanctuary for adoptable dogs. The Poopie Foundation is a public charity, 501c 3 Not For Profit organization. In 2011, Melissa met Rachel Elizabeth Kennedy, who
became a loving foster. Soon she became an invaluable part of the rescue efforts and adopted the
title of Vice President at the Poopie Foundation. Melissa and Rachel's dream was to open a high
end boutique, where they could place rescue dogs for adoption, providing an inviting atmosphere
for families to meet the new member of their family. That is when Lucky Puppy Rescue
and Retail was born. Through their rescue and education process, they are making a
difference for our four-legged friends, finding them loving forever homes.

Our Adoption Process:

All potential adopters must fill out an application.
Once the application is approved we will do a home check.
If the home check is approved you will sign an adoption agreements.

Suggested Adoption Donations
Adult Dogs are $250
Puppies 6months to a year $300
Puppies under 6 months $350

All dogs are up to date on shots, Microchipped and spay/neutered
