About Our Rescue Group:

We've been helping cats for a long time and with the economic downturn so many were abandoned, mostly unfixed, this meant far more cats with injuries as they were ill equipped for life on their own, and we also saw an increase in abused animals. Along with the friend who had been helping me with finding funds for helping these animals I formed CatTown Rescue. That friend started her own Trap/neuter/return organization Dec 2012. I remain to deal with all the cats that came in during this last year and all the injured and desperate cats to come. We are working hard to try to get the community involved. It isn't easy. There isn't a whole lot of interest in stray and abandoned cats and the general opinion is that killing them is the way to go.We disagree. Population control is the answer and while we work on that we need to take responsibility for those animals that are here now and treat them with kindness and dignity.

Come Meet our Pets:

We do not yet have an actual location other than our "office". we are foster based so when you would like to see one of our cats, you will need to let us know so we can arrange a meeting. There are not a lot of adoption events in our area unless we make them and we do that now and then even though it is very stressful for the cats. We keep all that kind of information posted on our website

Our Adoption Process:

We tailor our adoption fees to meet the situation. We do have a contract and require that any animals we adopt out be returned to us if they are surrendered later

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
