Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We are a pending non-profit 501(c)3 animal rescue organization. Our current coverage area is throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and parts of Virginia. All of our rescued animals are vetted, spayed/neutered and placed in approved FOSTER HOMES and are not kenneled at a facility. However, if it means saving their life, I will board them in a wonderful boarding facility ONLY until a foster home can be found. This way, the animals receive one on one care, as well as the love and attention that only comes from being in a family environment. We learn their likes, dislikes, and temperament and can address any illnesses or behavior problems quickly. They live indoors with our own pets, as they are our very own.

About Our Rescue Group:

We work to rescue dogs and cats from high kill shelters in NC/SC/GA/VA or from individual situations that put them in need of a forever home. We will place them in an approved foster home until an approved forever home is chosen.

Come Meet our Pets:

A MEET and GREET HOME VISIT may be arranged after completion and approval of the ADOPTION APPLICATION.

Our Adoption Process:

***Three Sisters and a Brother Animal Rescue, Inc WILL NOT, under any circumstances, pull an animal from a shelter for an individual unless that individual has been approved as an adopter by Three Sisters and a Brother Animal Rescue, Inc. This can be accomplished by completing the required Adoption Application and, if approved, agrees to the requirements of care for the animal by signing the Adoption Contract and by paying the required adoption fee for the animal.

*All adopters must be at least 21 years of age.

*We will only place animals/cats with indoor ONLY homes.

*All dogs receive the following prior to adoption: Distemper/Parvo Vaccine, Rabies Vaccination, Heartworm Test & Treatment (if needed) Spay/Neuter (no animal older than 16 weeks of age will ever be adopted out without being altered).

*All cats receive the following prior to adoption: FVRCP and rabies vaccinations. FeLV/FIV Combo testing (if kittens are of the same litter only one of them will be combo tested. Spay/Neuter (no cat older than 16 weeks of age will ever be adopted out without being altered).

*Puppies or kittens too young for spay/neuter, rabies or final boosters will need to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated post-adoption at the expense of the adopter. Copies of proof that this has been achieved must be sent to Three Sisters and a Brother Animal Rescue, Inc. when these are achieved.

*If two animals have been adopted together, they cannot be separated. If it does not work out, they will both have to be returned to Three Sisters and a Brother Animal Rescue, Inc. unless Three Sisters and a Brother Animal Rescue, Inc. has approved prior permission for placement by Adopter in writing.

*Adopter is aware that all animals can bite. Adopter agrees to not allow animal to be alone with small children, small animals such as animals or cats unsupervised. Adopters agrees to not allow children to ride, crawl on, or jump on the animal. Adopter understands that animals that are abruptly awakened from sleep can and often do bite. Adopter agrees to get proper training for the animal from a professional if this becomes a problem to prevent further animal bites.

*If adopter has to travel or decides to travel no animal can be placed in a cargo area of a plane. Cargo areas are not safe for animals. Adopter must either choose a secure and safe way to travel with the animal or make sure the animal is well cared for in the adopter’s absence.

** It is highly recommended that all puppies, animals, kittens and cats adopted from Three Sisters and a Brother Animal Rescue, Inc. be taken to the veterinarian of the adopter’s choice for a check-up within 72 hours of the date of the signed contract.

Completing this application does not guarantee you can adopt an animal from Three Sisters and a Brother Animal Rescue. We have the right to reject an applicant based on the information obtained on the application, through a reference or home visit. Our primary goal is for the welfare, health and happiness of an animal we have rescued and saved from being euthanized. These animals have become part of our Family and we want to make sure they are loved and taken care of for the remainder of their natural life.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.

Humane America Animal Foundation, dba Adopt-a-Pet.com, is a non-profit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) adoption advertising charity. Our mission (and passion) is to help get homeless pets out of the shelters and into loving homes. Let us know what you think! Suggestion & Comment Box
