Rescue 2 RehabGranbury TX - Boston MA - Kansas City MO
Although a lot of our dogs are located in TX, many of our dogs have found their forever homes in other states. Please don't hesitate to call us if you are interested in any of the dogs we have available for adoption.
About Our Rescue Group:
About Rescue 2 RehabWe rescue dogs from high kill shelters, as well as from other dangerous and abusive situations. Some of these dogs require intense medical attention as well as a safe place to re-enter back into this world. During this process some of the dogs stand out as those that might be a candidate for the initial evaluations stage for becoming a service, therapy and emotional support dogs for people in need i.e PTSD, Autism Spectrum, Emotional/Mental and Developmental Needs. Dogs that pass the initial evaluation will go on to the first stage of training. We are currently in the process of searching for additional qualified trainers and fosters just for these dogs. Part of the mission is to make these dogs available to those that normally wouldn't be able to afford them, yet so desperately need them.
Dogs that do not pass the initial evaluation stage are put back on the available list to be adopted.
Our Adoption Process:
Adoption ProcessRequirements to Adopt
It is our responsibility to find the best possible homes for the dogs and puppies in our care. We consider important details in finding the right fit, such as a person's home, interests and lifestyle. We then match those with an animal's social, exercise and training needs. Some of our animals have special needs or requirements like being an only pet or medical issues or they may not be good with kids etc....Therefore we reserve the right to deny an adoption if we feel it is not a good fit or in the animal's best interest.
Adoption Requirements:
You must be at least 21 years of age
Have a valid, government issued, photo ID with you with your current address on it
Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household.
Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting.
Must be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet including yearly vaccinations, check up and monthly heartworm prevention (for dogs)
Must have everyone in the household that is 13 years of age or older read or have read to them explaining what is expected, and what needs to be done to insure the best chance of a smooth transition of the new pet into their new home. All members of the household 13 years and up MUST sign the contract extension stating they have read the information and agree with adopting the dog or puppy.
All dogs and puppies will have had, or will need to have:
Vaccinations: DHPP-Parvo/Bordatella for dogs and puppies (as recommended based on age)

Adoption Donation Fees:
$250 for dogs and puppies* (*discounts for law enforcement, fire fighters, Veterans and active military are available. Other discounts may be available depending on the animal on a case to case basis.)
The Adoption Fee helps us to cover the costs of all the animals in our care, including: tests, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neuter surgeries, medications, surgeries, rehabilitation and boarding. Any donations over the stated adoption fees are greatly appreciated. On average, we spend more than the adoption donation fee for each animal in our care.
Adoption Process:
Visit http://rescue2rehab.weebly.com/adoption-process.html for our online adoption application. We will get back to you within 48 hours ( we are an all volunteer organization). We will review the application with you by phone if there are any concerns or questions. We will require a home check for all dog adoptions. Once approved, you will sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption donation fee.
Note: We will always take back an animal if you can no longer keep them for any reason.
