Mission Statement

With a comprehensive website design, we hope to be a resource not only for those who can no longer care for their dogs, but those who are seeking information about responsible dog ownership or looking to volunteer time or resources to the cause.

About Our Rescue Group:

Why a dog through Disaster Dogs?
Any dog that we adopt out comes vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed (if needed), and with a current check-up (within 12 months of date of adoption) by our vet. We also send each dog home with their very own 72 hour disaster kit!

Their basic start-up kit will contain:
Water (72 hr supply)
Wet food (72 hr supply-pop top cans)
Basic First Aid Kit
Emergency Info Pack (Photo, Vet Contact Info, Emergency Contact Info, Medical Records) in a waterproof sealed plastic bag
Pet Planner
Pet Alert Window Decal
Poop bags
Blanket
Collar
Leash
2 travel bowls
Bin to keep it in!

Our idea behind including a kit upon adoption, is to send an adopted dog home on the right foot (or paw) and set him/her up for success. We hope that this motivates owners to develop something like this for other pets they may have, as well as add to it so it is tailored specifically for their new best friend!
ADOPTION SPECIAL!!!
Now through April 10th, all adoptions come with a FREE MINI SESSION with Baby Fred Photography!!!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.

Humane America Animal Foundation, dba Adopt-a-Pet.com, is a non-profit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) adoption advertising charity. Our mission (and passion) is to help get homeless pets out of the shelters and into loving homes. Let us know what you think! Suggestion & Comment Box
