Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! Contact us, or contact another local humane society, animal shelter or SPCA.
We believe that our pets rescue us as much as we rescue them, no matter if they are homeless or shelter animals that have been deemed “unadoptable.” We pride ourselves on being champions of the “underdogs,” and we know that with a little patience and love, mixed with proper care and training, these animals can make wonderful, loving companions. Whether placing pets in foster homes or forever homes, our role as “matchmaker” is one we take seriously. We hope to reach those who are lifelong pet owners as well as those who are looking for their first rescue with the goal of creating and nurturing bonds that last a lifetime.
Once we have received your application and determined that you are a good match for the requested animal, we will contact you by email. The foster parent will then contact you to arrange a time for you to meet the animal, at which time you can decide if you would like to complete the adoption.
Once the adoption is approved, you will need to complete our online Adoption Contract and pay the non-refundable adoption fee. This non-tax-deductible fee assists us in continuing to save more homeless pets and may be refunded only if the animal is returned within 14 days due to a health consideration.
All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up-to-date on distemper, parvo, parainfluenza and adenovirus, as well as rabies if they are over 6 months of age.
Dogs under 1 year of age: $250
Dogs over 1 year of age: $200
Adult cats: $75
Why should you adopt?
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
