Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

People Loving Pets Rescue is a Los Angeles based all breed dog rescue, serving most of Los Angeles.

About Our Rescue Group:

People Loving Pets Rescue is a facility based organization that saves dogs from high-kill shelters which was founded by Alanna Polcyn in 2009, in response to the overwhelming need to care for abandoned, abused, neglected and injured dogs in the city of Los Angeles. The dogs we save were picked up as strays or abandoned by their family and were left with no hope of a better life. We believe that life is precious and the dogs we save deserve no less than a second chance at finding a loving, caring home. We are the catalyst behind giving them that chance.

Come Meet our Pets:

We offer adoptions and meet the dogs at Judy's Pet Depot, 1278 Westwood Blvd, from 11-2 most Sundays weather permitting. Confirm via email if you want to meet the pups!

Our Adoption Process:

People Loving Pets Rescue requires an application, home check, and offers trials prior to any adoption being finalized.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
