Areas Laton Animal Rescue & Care serves

We rescue dogs that for some reason find themselves in shelters due to circumstances that have nothing to do their behavior or level of love and devotion to their family and home. It is a sad reality in our busy lives, but our best friends often have to earn their own keep a second time around. Our dogs want to work for a new life, some as a companion, some as a working partner. They have experienced the loss of a stable home, experienced the fear of the shelter life and are eager to show their appreciation of, "The Second Chance" to express their love and devotion one more time. These are wonderful dogs, who truly appreciate their second chance. To become a fan on Facebook go to www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Laton-Animal-Rescue-Care/136214106414333

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fee is between $125.00 and $300.00. Your pet will come altered, up to date on vaccinations, rabies vaccination, microchipped, deworming and flea treatment. We look for homes where our dogs will become family members, companions or working partners. All prospective adopters must commit to the mental and physical well being of their new family member, by providing appropriate time, training and shelter. No dog should go extended periods of time without sufficient interaction, especially working breeds.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
