Northern California Pekingese Rescue serves the Northern California region.

About Our Rescue Group:

Northern California Pekingese Rescue rescues Pekingese dogs from shelters and voluntary surrenders on a space available basis. We place Pekes in foster homes until forever homes are found. We ensure that each Pekingese is healthy, spayed or neutered and current on routine vaccinations. This is a non-profit organization and 100% of donations go to help the rescue dogs. We do not have a shelter and all dogs are placed in foster homes. We are a member of The Pekingese Club of America and an IRS 501 (c)(3) non-profit

Come Meet our Pets:

Our available rescues for adoption are always in foster homes as we have no shelter. Dogs are available to see by appointment only after adoption application is completed.

Our Adoption Process:

Northern California Pekingese Rescue requires an adoption application (no fee) and adoption contract with adoption fee ranging from $60 to $200 depending on the dog. All of our rescues are spayed or neutered before adoption (mandatory) with current vaccinations.
**Once you have adopted a Pekingese, we are always available to help your dog transition into your household and offer assistance in everything related to the Pekingese breed including recommendations for food and behavior and health issues.

If you have a Pekingese that needs rehoming we need detailed information:

2) Dog's health including medicationss, etc.;
3) Spayed/neutered. Current vaccinations?
3) Temperament: does it get along with other dogs/children

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
