Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We are located in Southern Californa serving mainly in the Orange County area, but we have a volunteer network in Los Angeles and Riverside County as well. We do not do out of state adoptions unless there are special circumstances.

About Our Rescue Group:

Welcome Home Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization that exists on donations alone. We are a group of dedicated individuals who have gathered to bring about the much needed change in the ways our society deals with animal welfare. We are a coalition of all-volunteer, experienced dog owners/handlers who believe all dogs deserve a good home. We need donations, foster homes, supplies, volunteers to help socialize and attend training classes with our dogs, and help at adoption fairs and fundraising events.

What truly matters, is that we can make a difference in the lives of abused, neglected and homeless dogs. To help reduce overpopulation and the number of dogs in shelters, Welcome Home Dog Rescue offers rescue and adoption services specific to the adopter’s needs and lifestyles so that both ends of the leash can find a happy home together.

Although the journey of effectively rehoming each abandoned and/or neglected dog is challenging, at Welcome Home Dog Rescue, we believe that each life saved makes what we do worth the hard work! We believe not only in the importance of spay/neuter, vaccination and microchipping of adoptable pets, but in the extraordinary power of word-of-mouth education to raise public awareness. We believe in the need to reconnect to the indestructible essence of our being, to instill and revive our innate humane motivations to help and care for our lifelong companions and to prevent needless suffering of animals.

Join us in our endeavor to change the life of a dog, because together - we’re better.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
