Our adoption fees range from $300 to $700. This includes a fully vetted, neutered or spayed, microchipped and flea free dog that will be a wonderful addition to your family. We are non-profit, but this fee helps offset the rescue's costs for veterinary care, rehabilitation, transportation, food, crate, bedding, supplements, medication, clothing, ID tag, collar, leash, harness, bowls, and bedding. 100% of the adoption fee goes towards expenses for the dogs.

About WELCOME HOME DOG RESCUE

Welcome Home Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501c(3) non-profit organization that exists solely on donations. We are a group of dedicated individuals working to change the ways our society deals with animal welfare. We are a group of both experienced dog owners/handlers and first timers, who believe all dogs deserve a good home. We need donations, foster homes, supplies including dog food, flea medication, leashes, harnesses, collars, dog beds, bowls and dog crates. We need volunteers to organize fundraising events, help socialize and attend training classes with our dogs and many other necessary activities.

What truly matters to us, is that we make a difference in the lives of abused, neglected and homeless dogs. To help reduce the number of dogs in shelters, Welcome Home Dog Rescue offers rescue and adoption services specific to the adopter’s needs and lifestyles so that both ends of the leash can find a happy home together.

Although rehoming each abandoned or neglected dog is challenging, at Welcome Home Dog Rescue, we believe that each saved life makes it worth the hard work! We believe in spay/neuter, vaccination and microchipping of adoptable pets and word-of-mouth education. We believe that animals are family members who deserve lifelong care, affection and medical treatment. It is our fervent wish to end and prevent needless suffering of animals.

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in La Mirada, CA.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
