Pets at Our Rescue Group:

Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We mainly serve the inner city of Los Angeles in the area south & southwest of downtown, however, we also rescue dogs from surrounding Riverside & Orange Counties .

About Our Rescue Group:

GRFF is an organization of police officers, firefighters, EMTs & civilian volunteers whose primary goal is to get homeless dogs off the streets of South Los Angeles & surrounding areas, spay/neuter them, provide medical attention as needed and ultimately place the dogs in loving forever homes. The dedicated officers and others of GRFF devote their own time, money & other resources to help alleviate the suffering of the canine castoffs of the most blighted & dangerous areas of the city. GRFF is a new 501(c)3 charity, but we have been rescuing dogs for years without benefit of outside financial support. All dogs are placed in loving foster homes until a permanent home is found---no shelter. All rescues receive medical attention, as needed, vaccinations, spay/neuter & microchip. GRFF partners with & supports other rescue groups. Our goal is to help reduce shelter intake & overcrowding, provide info on responsible pet ownership & rehome unwanted homeless pets.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
