Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We rescue abandoned, stray, and injured cats and kittens. Although our emphasis is on cats, we will do whatever we can to rescue other animals in need. Our rescue efforts are primarily within Lake County, Illinois (northeastern Illinois). We rescue in all towns, cities, etc. within Lake County and our foster and adoption sites are within lake County.

About Our Rescue Group:

We are currently a small rescue group with plans to grow gradually so that we don't loose the ability to maintain a personal/customer service relationship with adopters. Our current Board and volunteers have been rescuing for many years and decided we should formalize our group so that we could ask for an adoption fee and fund raise to cover our expenses and help strays or abandoned animals with serious medical needs. We are all passionate about pets and our goal is to match the best home with the best animal.

Come Meet our Pets:

Our Adoption Process:

We require an adoption application. We conduct veterinary reference checks. Once a person has been approved for adoption of one of our cats/kittens, we start at $125.00 adoption fee for kittens, $100.00 for cats, $50.00 for senior cats, and a negotiable fee for special need or hard-to-place cats and kittens. We do follow-up calls to ensure the cats have integrated into their new homes.

Our Adopted Pets:

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
