We serve our local area, which includes Northampton, Halifax, and Hertford counties in North Carolina. We are also in close proximity to Southern Virginia and regularly adopt out to families in the Raleigh, NC, Hampton Roads, VA or Northern Virginia areas. We are willing to travel, within reason, for an adoption to an approved adopter.

If you are interested in one of our animals, please contact us for an application. Prior to completing any adoption, we will do a home check to ensure the dog or cat's safety and happiness in a new home. There will also be a contract stating that the animal will be kept up to date on all vetting, will be kept indoors as a part of the family, and that we will be given first notice if a dog or cat should need to be returned or re-homed for any reason. Currently, the adoption fees are $90 for cats/kittens and $125 for puppies and dogs. Before adoption, all animals will be checked by a vet, will have had their first deworming, will have received their first shots and rabies shot (if age permits), will be microchipped, and will be spayed/neutered, unless recommended otherwise by a veterinarian.

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
