Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

During some very trying times GAR animals and their human caretaker had moved in with a family that has decided they would rather not help us and have demanded most animals be re-homed, even though they are bonded with their human.

Some animals are available for adoption, some for fostering - the animals would be most appreciative and would love to come stay with kind people while their human gets through the disability and tort issues she currently faces.

About Our Rescue Group:

Our commitment is first and foremost to the animal in our care and then to the human wishing to join this animal into their family. We will work with caretakers to ensure their pet lives a long and healthy life. We have a couple of programs in the works to keep military members pets with foster parents while serving deployments overseas.

Richmond Hill, Midway, Savannah, & Hinesville, GA area fostering and adoption only!

We do have a contract, we do home checks, we call for vet references, we will do follow up checks to ensure the safety and well being of the animal you are requesting us to trust you with. Trust is usually built over time, to move things along we may seem blunt in our questions and \or actions, please know it is purely directed to welcome the right human into the animal's life.

If you are considering the adoption of our cat(s) we require you to provide them with fresh water 24 -7, adequate space within your home, prefer our cats to be completely entertained within the home, in rare cases we may approve an indoor \ outdoor home, good nutritional food and treats. Provide mental and physical stimulation that engages both human and animal with interaction. Keep animal up to date on vaccinations and regular check ups, make sure animal receives any and all medical attention he or she may need.

If it is one of our dogs that has your interest, we require: a fenced in yard for dog to run and play protected, a bed and space inside your home, preferably a wire kennel with a bed or cushion to provide comfort. Fresh water 24 - 7 and good quality dog food and treats, being careful to not provide treats and\ or toys that will cause harm to dog. Exercise of the physical and mental nature. Socializing dog is highly recommended but not required. Keep animal up to date on vaccinations and regular check ups, make sure animal receives any and all medical attention he or she may need.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
