Pets at Our Rescue Group:

Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

We are currently residing near Savannah, GA. Our rescuing efforts started not far from where we are now and in ten years has encompassed a few states (Texas & South Carolina), and has one more state to traverse before we settle into our permanent facilities in the heart of the Appalachian mountains of Virginia.

Our adoption range has reduced to a 30 mile radius, transportation is an issue for us. Home checks are instrumental in our adoption process.

About Our Rescue Group:

Our commitment is first and foremost to the animal in our care and then to the human wishing to join this animal into their family. We will work with caretakers to ensure their pet lives a long and healthy life. We have a couple of programs in the works to keep military members pets with foster parents while serving deployments overseas.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

We are not asking for donations, instead we ask you to help us spread the word about ‘No Kill Nation’: Our animals are on a very expensive diet, we are supplemented by donations from a pet store in Greenville, SC – Canines & Felines Marketplace 626 Conagree Rd Greenville 29607 – if you are ever near there – stop by and tell Dennis that Gargoyles sent you and he is sure to give you some treats.

Come Meet our Pets:

We have recently moved from Greenville, SC to Landrum, SC and haven't set up a viewing center yet. If you are interested in meeting one (or more), of our animals please contact us and we will arrange a meet & greet. Visiting the rescue is by invitation only, potential adopters are invited formally during the process.

Our Adoption Process:

We do NOT charge any adoption fees for the animals in our care. There may be a fee associated with home checks, to cover fuel and time. We are working hard to take the monetary value off animals and refuse to accept any money for them. They are not possessions, they are not commodities, they are not items. They are family and that is how we expect you to treat our animal friends - if you have ANY issues with that please understand that we will not place an animal with you.

We do have a contract, we do home checks, we call for vet references, we will do follow up checks to ensure the safety and well being of the animal you are requesting us to trust you with. Trust is usually built over time, to move things along we may seem blunt in our questions and \or actions, please know it is purely directed to welcome the right human into the animal's life.

If you are considering the adoption of our cat(s) we require you to provide them with fresh water 24 -7, adequate space within your home, prefer our cats to be completely entertained within the home, in rare cases we may approve an indoor \ outdoor home, good nutritional food and treats. Provide mental and physical stimulation that engages both human and animal with interaction. Keep animal up to date on vaccinations and regular check ups, make sure animal receives any and all medical attention he or she may need.

If it is one of our dogs that has your interest, we require: a fenced in yard for dog to run and play protected, a bed and space inside your home, preferably a wire kennel with a bed or cushion to provide comfort. Fresh water 24 - 7 and good quality dog food and treats, being careful to not provide treats and\ or toys that will cause harm to dog. Exercise of the physical and mental nature. Socializing dog is highly recommended but not required. Keep animal up to date on vaccinations and regular check ups, make sure animal receives any and all medical attention he or she may need.

Depending on the distance from office a usual fee runs between $30.00 - $80.00 to cover the transportation costs for home checks, meet 'n greets, etc.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
