Adoptions require every pet to be sterilized and rabies vaccinated as outlined in our USDA facility requirements within a specified amount of time after adoption. The adoption fee is set by City Ordinance 4-50 ($4 for first day of impoundment and an additional $2 per day that the animal is at our facility.

About El Dorado Springs MO City Pound

The City Pound falls under the jurisdiction of the El Dorado Springs Police Department located in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. We are required to hold animals found in city limits for five (5) days. After five (5) days the animals can go to rescues, be adopted, or can be euthanized. Typically, euthanasia is a very last resort and rescue or adoption is usually found.
