About Our Rescue Group:

We are registered chinchilla breeders that run a chinchilla rescue as well. We do not breed rescues! We have chinchilla knowledge that vastly exceeds that of simple pet ownership. The rescues that come to us are held for a minimum of seven days before becoming available for adoption. All animals are given a wellness check upon being surrendered and are vetted as needed by our great vets at Aloha. We require that a surrender/adoption contract be signed for each event.

Chinchillas are an animal all their own and require specific care not on a beginners level. We find that most of our rescues have come from homes that had no idea what was involved in owning a chinchilla. Instead of giving it to someone just wanting a glamour pet, we have the credentials and the ability to properly care for the chin until a suitable home can be found.

Our Adoption Process:

We do not let our animals go to just anyone. We investigate each potential adopter and require that you have proper knowledge on owning a chinchilla. If we do not feel that you will be a suitable chin owner, we will not adopt out to you.

Why should you adopt?

small animals can make wonderful pets, and rather than buying a small animal for sale or finding a small animal breeder, adopting a small animal from an animal shelter or rescue organization is the perfect way to add a small animal to your family. Keep in mind, there is a lot you will need to know when you provide a home for a small animal. You will need to learn what to feed them, how much exercise or attention your small animal needs, and many other important things about how to house and care for a small animal. There are different types of small animals including Chinchilla, Degu, Ferret, Gerbil, Guinea Pig, Hamster, Hedgehog, Mouse, Prairie Dog, Rat, Skunk, and Sugar Glider.
