About Our Rescue Group:

We are a small rescue effort - a husband/wife team who began saving kittens approximately 2 1/2 years ago because one abandoned female cat brought her kittens to our yard. We are pet owners and it was natural to rescue the kittens and attempt to find homes.

However, we discovered there was really a feral clowder in the neighborhood and that's how we learned about another effect of the mortgage foreclosure crisis - abandoned pets.

No one in our area was doing anything about this, so we began researching and discovered ADLA and their TNR program. We began catching a few cats at a time and taking them to a weekend clinic. However in the meantime, kittens were still produced.

So, this is how we reached the point of running a rescue operation! Even though we've adopted out 4 kitties so far, we have many fur babies still waiting. We won't give up until everyone has a new home!

Our house is pretty crowded now and the expense is about 10% of our monthly budget. Litter or food donations are welcomed, thank you!

Come Meet our Pets:

People can see our pets by-appointment - weekends are when we have the most availability. We can also work with early evening appointments during the work week.

Our Adoption Process:

Our adoption process is first to learn about you and the kind of feline companion you're looking for - personality, age, color. We may ask for references and/or a home check.

We encourage you to come and interact with the available pets and allow the possibility that one will pick you!

We have a $40 adoption/rehoming fee and prefer to sign an adoption contract for the good of all concerned.

We both work full time, so we return emails and phone calls in the early evenings on weekdays or anytime on weekends.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
