Areas Cross Timbers Animal Guardian Society serves
We are a non-profit foster based rescue in Stephenville, Texas. We primarily serve the Cross Timbers (eight counties) in North Texas but work to save the lives of all of our four-legged friends across the state.
Eight counties we serve in Texas are:
Bosque, Comanche, Eastland, Erath, Hamilton, Hood, Palo Pinto and Somervelle

Those interested in adopting an animal through CTAGS will need to fill out an adoption application. This application can be found on our website www.ctagsanimalrescue.weebly.com under the 'Adoption Application' tab and then emailed back to ctagsanimalrescue@gmail.com. Once the application is reviewed (typically 24 hours) and approved by the CTAGS board, we will contact you to set up a meet and greet. Adopters usually take home their new pet after the meet and greet.

Cross Timbers Animal Guardian Society is a non profit rescue organization based in Stephenville, Texas. Our Mission is to provide low cost spay/neuter services and educate pet owners about humane treatment of animals, including the necessity of pet sterilization and vaccinations. To also provide a safe haven for homeless pets and work diligently to place each adoptable animal into a permanent home.
Our dogs are rescued from area shelters, fully vetted, and receive the best of care, as they await for their forever homes.
We save/rescue as many lives as we can for those who cannot defend themselves. Whether it is because of abuse, abandonment, or a lost dog, we are there to protect, rehabilitate, and save.

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
