Additional adoption info

All adopters must fill out an application to adopt that will be emailed to you. We call all references listed including veterinarian, personal, and condo board or landlord, and our goal is to approve application within 5 days. You are welcome to meet any of our dogs in their foster homes once you have an approved application. Since we are a small family run rescue with a few volunteers at times when there is a high volume of applications it may take longer than 5 days to process your application. You are free to contact us at any point at arrowdogrescue@gmail.com to check on the status of your application.

After application is approved, we do a home visit either prior to or at the time of the adoption. Minimum adoption donations is $275 for adults and $350 for puppies 9 months or under. Some dogs have sponsorships by donors which will reduce the cost for the adopter. Payment by Paypal to arrowdogrescue@gmail.com or in cash at the time of the adoption.

There is an adoption contract stipulating that you return the dog to our rescue if for any reason you are not able to keep them. The dog's microchip will be registered to the rescue for the life of the dog. You will be required to keep your pup on heart worm preventative year around.

About ARROW Animal Rescue Revolution on Wheels

We are a family run no kill foster based dog rescue located in Columbia, TN with foster homes all across the state of Tennessee. We rescue dogs from animal control and animal shelters all across the South Eastern US with more states being added all the time. We also accept owner relinquishments. We fully vet all of the dogs in our rescue, place them in loving foster homes, often with other dogs, cats and kids. We find them forever homes through sites like this as well as Facebook, and Petfinder. We have been involved in rescue for 3 years with other rescues but felt that we would have made other decisions when it comes to euthanizing, how dogs were being treated, and the adoption process. We thought we could do a better job. We officially opened in 2014 and relocated to Tennessee to expand the rescue in 2017. We only euthanize dogs in our rescue if they are in pain or suffering and cannot be helped or are unpredictable aggression. We provide training to dogs that need this prior to adoption.

We also have a pet matching service so if you don't see what you are looking for on our rescue page, please message us and we can help you find the perfect pet, have it transported to us, vet it, and make it available for adoption to you!

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Columbia, TN.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
