Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

Fast Friends is a non-profit adoption group for retired Greyhound racers. Our primary service area is Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties. We will work on case by case basis with a potential adopter outside of those counties.

About Our Rescue Group:

Fast Friends is a non-profit Greyhound Adoption group that has been placing Greyhounds in loving homes for 25 years. Our goal is to find the retired racers their new homes after their racing days are over. Our volunteers believe fervently in the Greyhound as a wonderful, quiet gentle pet and we want only the best for the Greys in their retirement. Most of us live with Greyhounds and can provide the new family answers to any questions that may arise.

Our Adoption Process:

Our adoption fee is $250.00 which covers the spay/neuter, dental, heartworm test and microchip. The dog will be current on vaccinations. Upon adoption you agree to provide your new pet with proper healthcare through the life of the dog. Also, if for any reason you are unable to keep the pet you will return to Fast Friends Greyhound Adoption to find the Grey another home..

Our Adopted Pets:

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
