Additional adoption info
Potential adopters fill out our pre-adoption form so we can get a better idea about their situation. We also get their vet's name & phone number so we can call for reference.
If all is okay on the pre-adoption form, we arrange a meeting with them. We observe how they interact with the animal & how the animal reacts with them. If it appears it is a good match, we offer them our contract. After going over it, & they agree, we let them adopt the animal.
FEES: Adoption fee is based on what it costs us for neuter/spay, shots, heartworm check/treatment. They range from $80-150.

I am the rescuer. I have my rescued animals here at my home where they are welcomed just as my own animals. It's a one-on-one thing for me with the animals. My life is centered around them since I am alone now.
I began rescuing as a kid & have continued. I am now 76 yrs. old & am still rescuing. I married a guy over 50 yrs. ago who brought home the animals on the side of the road....just like I have done. I lost him 5 yrs. ago. Since both of us were teachers, we brought home all the animals who showed up at the schools.........before the animal control person could get them.
