Little Tails Rescue, Inc. is a small foster based rescue. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization. We focus on small dogs, particularly senior dogs and cats. We adopt in the South Florida area but do make exceptions to different parts of Florida on a case by case basis. We do not do out of state adoptions.

To adopt, please complete our adoption application at www.littletails.net. Little Tails requires vet references, personal references, and a home check. If adoption is approved, an adoption contract is required. Adoption fees range from $150 to $400 for dogs and $25 to $75 for cats. All dogs and cats receive all vaccinations, are spayed/neutered, receive blood test, fecal, heart worm test and any other medical care required by our vet. In addition, a dental may also be done if advised by our vet.

Little Tails Rescue, Inc. is a 501c3 non profit organization based in Miami Florida. We are a foster based rescue and can only take in dogs and cats when a foster is available. We rescue small dogs and cats, provide medical treatment, and a foster home until adoption. The founders of Little Tails hope to make a small difference in the Miami area even if we only save one cat or dog at a time. Each life matters regardless of how small or old.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
