About Purple Paws 2nd Chance Rescue
"We are a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to providing temporary shelter to stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals while restoring their physical and emotional health with the purpose of finding permanent suitable forever homes. Forever homes encompass what is best for the animal as well as for those who choose to provide such love, care, and support.”
SPECIFICALLY, animals in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist animals in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. To the extent our finances allow, animals in the greatest need take priority.
PP2CR does not have a physical shelter. Instead, we operate primarily through our foster homes, online databases and at adoption events/expos.
PP2CR provides these needed services through our fund-raising events set in place by our dedicated volunteers and through donations from individuals that believe in our mission.
Our potential adopters go through a thorough screening application process to ensure the best possible fit for both the adopter and animal.
Because we utilize fosters for temporary housing, fosters are completely vetted before any animal is placed in their care. Because we rely heavily on our foster homes, PP2CR provides EVERYTHING for our foster families.
