Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees for dogs normally run from $350 to $650 for dogs that need a lot of grooming, oftentimes more for puppies and pure breeds. Adoption fees are usually less for kittens/cats ($100-200). Our fees are higher if a lot of medical treatments are incurred (teeth cleaning, X-rays, blood tests, grooming, or we get the animals fixed where we get puppies.

CARES does have a contract and we do a house check. The requirements are pretty standard for most animal rescues. We thoroughly investigate the potential home situation to ensure that the animal will be happy and safe, and that the new caretakers are satisfied with their new family member.

About California Animal Rescue & Education Sanctuary

Share Bond has been doing animal rescue, community outreach programs, media work, teaching at wildlife, companion animal and animal rights conferences all over the US. We at CARES help all animals in one way or another and are not speciesists. We have specialists in all areas needed at our rescue facility. CARES is also a sanctuary for non-placeable animals (deaf, senior animals, special needs) and we make sure that each and every animal has plenty of space, mental enrichment, attention, and a clean environment with the best food possible.

I chose to do this work because it is needed. We all owe it to the animals. Our important programs (Animal Crime Watch, Neighborhood Watch For Animals, Stray-Free Lake LA, TNR+, Humane Wildlife Solutions, etc.) are desperately needed. Someone needs to get through to the general public.

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Palmdale, CA.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
