Areas Precious Pawws Rescue serves

We started precious pawws rescue 6 years ago. We are not a 501c3 but are backed by Tail waggers 1990 (Low cost rescue vet) No animal is ever turned away. We have rescued 100+ Dogs and adopted out to many loving families... We pay for everything right out of pocket. We accept donations but rarely ask for any. Only when the helped is needed. We are their voice. We try to save them all. But saving one makes a world of difference in their eyes.

Precious Pawws Rescue's adoption process

Additional adoption info

Here at PPR we have a very detailed adoption process prior to any adoptions. We do not allow families to meet any of our adoptable animals until adoption application has cleared. Adoption application: We will email or mail out an adoption application for one of our animals. Once cleared.. We then set up Meet and Greet: we asked that you bring your whole family (Everyone that will be living in the same house as one of our animals) as well as your dog if any. We like to be sure the dogs choose each other.. Not you choosing the dog. Or the rescue choosing the family. Once meet and greet goes well. We then set up a date for a Home check/Adoption same day. We look for varies of things. Broken locks. Broken or loose fencing. Easy escape access. Latches unfixed. Etc. All locks doors gates and fencing are to be 100%. We also look to see where the animal will be sleeping. Eating... Where the animal will be when owners are gone for a long amount of time. Tags will be needed for the animal same day as home check. Everything you would look for when you have a child more less. Because here at PPR our animals are our children. We do reference checks. Vet checks. Landlord calls (If renting) if owned we do ask for proof of mortgage. We have adoption fees for all of our adoptable animals. We also have a 4 page adoption contract you are to sign the day of home check . in order to adopt from our rescue you can not have a BSL restriction. You MUST have a fenced in yard. We do not allow tie outs. You can not have a felony on your background of any kind. And you can not have more then 2 dogs in your family adopting ours would make 3 and that's our max that we are comfortable with.

About Precious Pawws Rescue

I am sabrina Davis. Founder of Precious Pawws Rescue
Animals of all kinds has always been my passion. We are the ones that restore that hope in a dog broken eyes. We are the ones who give some animals the first home they have ever known. We are the ones who give love and affection to some whom has never even felt the hand of a loving human being. We do it for them. We are the ones who take in the animals that were dumped.. Surrendered. Chained outside their whole life. Abused.. The list goes on. But when this happens we are there to give them a second chance at life. They are our children. We work everyday to try and make it happen to where these poor selfless animals do not have to endure anymore pain then they already have. We try to save them all. But one at a time. Day by day. We will save as many as we can.

Precious Pawws Rescue's adopted pets

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Garden City, MI.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
