We have a thorough vetting process with an application, frequently supplemented by home visits. Our adoption contract requires the dog be well cared for, not tossed into the yard and forgotten, and will be returned to the Sanctuary in the future if they are no longer willing or able to keep it. Our adoption fee is $150 and includes vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchip.

About Pure Mutts Animal Sanctuary
Pure Mutts Animal Sanctuary was founded in honor of our first rescued dog, a beautiful pitbull named Moti, who taught us what it is to love unconditionally. The Sanctuary was founded to provide special care for old, seriously sick and/or injured animals that area shelters cannot provide due to lack of resources. These "special" animals come here from other shelters, rescues, volunteers, and concerned citizens.
PMAS serves as a hospice for older animals that have been abandoned by their families; a foster home for sick and injured animals that need a place for long-term recovery; and as a "vacation" home for healthy animals who stay while awaiting adoption into their forever homes.
Our dogs live on a wooded acre in a home-like setting, with the dogs living in small packs that are free to roam and play together with others that share their personality traits.
