Golden Isles House Rabbit Rescue's adoption process
1.
Meet the Pet
We're an all volunteer group without a shelter, so we will arrange a time and place for you to meet your potential new house rabbit.
2.
Submit Application
We do screen potential adopters to make sure that you want to and are able to keep your new bunny inside your home.
3.
Sign Adoption Contract
If you decide to and are able to adopt a rabbit, we require that you sign our adoption contract.
4.
Pay Fee
Once you have chosen a rabbit and been approved to adopt him/her, you will pay our $50 adoption fee.

Golden Isles House Rabbit Rescue welcomes adopters who will house their new bunny inside their homes as a member of the family. We require that all of our rabbits are spayed/neutered at the appropriate and do not approve of breeding rabbits. Our adoption policies and forms can be found on our website or by emailing us at goldenislesrabbits@gmail.com. Our fees help cover the cost of spaying/neutering, medicare, food and supplies that support our mission of rescuing, rehoming and education. We believe that most rabbits are happiest in pairs and encouraging appropriate bonding.

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
